One of the key elements of my Bio Art practice is a process based approach that engages with the collaboration of living organisms. For the silkworm project, this process was growing my own silkworm colony in a silkworm nursery that I built in my art studio. The process lasted 10 weeks, which is the lifespan of a silkworm from hatching the egg to emerging the cocoon as moths.

This complex project involved the daily ritual of feeding and cleaning the 20 silkworms that collaborated in my art project. Through observation and engagement with this process, I was able to translate it into a final installation/sculpture/sound piece "Human bodies tumbled into silkworm bodies"
